DC + MD COMBO! RENEWAL COURSE

Led by certified instructors, this hands-on course reviews essential legal updates, defensive carry concepts, and includes the required live-fire qualification to demonstrate continued firearm proficiency and safety.

PART-I:  In-Person Classroom (9:00am - 7:00pm)
Objectives:
- Firearm Safety & Storage
- Suicide Awareness
- Pistol Parts, Operation & Maintenance
- Basics of Pistol Shooting
- Concealed Carry Fundamentals
- Situational Awareness & Conflict Avoidance
- Ethical Use Deadly Force 

PART-II:  Instructor-Led Virtual Classroom (9:00am - 1:00pm)
Objectives:
- State Laws on Firearms and Self-Defense
- Permit Application Guidance

PART III: Range Training and Qualification
Objectives:
- Firearm Safety and Range Etiquette
- Demonstrate competency and safety in handling a firearm
- Shooting qualification of fifty rounds of ammunition from a maximum distance of fifteen yards, and receiving a qualifying score of at least 70%

Participants will receive a link after registration to schedule their one-on-one range qualification for a convenient day and time. Usually Monday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive:

1 – District of Columbia Concealed Carry Pistol License Course Renewal Certificate
2 – Maryland MSP 29-14 Certified Qualification Renewal Score Sheet

District of Columbia Concealed Pistol License must be renewed every two years.

Unless exempt, renewal applicants must complete a 4-hour firearm safety training that includes District of Columbia Specific Laws on Firearms & Self-Defense and range qualification within the previous twelve months of submitted their renewal application.

Your DC CPL renewal application and payment may be submitted online via the DC MPD e-Commerce Portal.

Initial Maryland Wear and Carry Permits expire on the last day of the permit holder’s birth month following two (2) years after the date the permit is issued, three (3) years each subsequent renewal.

The Maryland Wear and Carry Permit renewal process should be started no less than 90-days from expiration of the permit through the MD State Police Licensing Portal:  https://licensingportal.mdsp.maryland.gov/MspBridgeClient/#/home

Unless exempt, you must complete an 8-hour firearms training course within two years of submitting your renewal application.

Renewal applications not received by the expiration date, must begin as a new applicant and complete all requirements necessary for an initial application.

• Ammunition: 50+ rounds FMJ

There will be NO LIVE AMMUNITION allowed during the classroom portion of training.

State application fees are not included in class price. 

You must be 21+ and legally able to possess a firearm with valid government photo ID to attend this course.
