DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CONCEALED PISTOL LICENSE | RENEWAL COURSE (HYBRID)

The District of Columbia Concealed Pistol License must be renewed every two years. Unless exempt, renewal applicants are required to complete four hours of approved firearm safety training covering DC-specific laws related to firearms, transportation, and self-defense, along with a live-fire range qualification completed within 12 months of submitting the renewal application.

Our Hybrid Carry Permit Renewal Course is purpose-built for experienced concealed carry permit holders with an established foundation in firearm safety and pistol proficiency. This comprehensive program blends the convenience of instructor-led virtual classroom instruction with mandatory in-person live-fire training, ensuring you meet all District renewal requirements efficiently, confidently, and compliantly.

For permit holders who would benefit from refreshing or sharpening their shooting fundamentals, we recommend enrolling in one of our Pistol Shooting Courses prior to attending the renewal program.

PART-ONE:  Instructor-Led Virtual Course (9:00 am - 11:00 am)
Objectives:
- District of Columbia laws on firearms and self-defense

PART-TWO: Live-Fire Range
Objective:
- Live-fire gun safety and proficiency qualification with a minimum score of 70% accuracy

You will receive a link to schedule your range qualification for a convenient day and time after registration.

Range Location:
NRA Range, Fairfax, VA

Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive:
1 – District of Columbia Concealed Carry Pistol License Course Renewal Certificate

DMC CARRY's renewal course is conducted by District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department CCW-Certified Instructors.

    • Concealable pistol with at least two magazines

    • Ammunition: 50+ rounds FMJ

Range fees are not included in class price.

State application fees are not included in class price. 

You must be 21+ and legally able to possess a firearm with valid government photo ID to attend this course.
