Unlike courses that focus exclusively on classroom instruction, DMV CARRY emphasizes practical firearm handling, legal awareness, and real-world responsibility.

Students will complete supervised live-fire training with certified firearms instructors who provide hands-on guidance and individualized feedback. Range instruction reinforces safe firearm handling, proper shooting techniques, and the fundamentals introduced during classroom training.

Our Virginia concealed handgun permit class provides the documentation you need to apply for a Virginia non-resident or resident concealed carry permit. Whether you’re new to firearms or an experienced shooter, our instructors make the process simple and approachable.

In-Person Classroom & Range Training (9:00 am - 5:00pm)

  • Legal Responsibilities of Carrying a Concealed Firearm

  • Live-Fire Training

Firearms Available for Use:  If you don't own a firearm yet, no worries! We provide firearms for practice during the course, so you can focus on learning without the immediate need to purchase.

Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive:

1 – In-Person Firearm Safety Course Completion Certificate

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • No. of Students: 8 – 16

  • Prerequisite: None

  • Class Supplies:

    • Pen and paper

  • Range Gear:

    • Pistol with at least one magazine; rentals available

    • Hearing and eye protection

    • Range appropriate clothing

    • Ammunition: 50 rounds FMJ

There will be NO LIVE AMMUNITION allowed during the classroom portion of training.

Range fees are not included in class price.

State application fees are not included in class price. 

You must be 21+ and legally able to possess a firearm with valid government photo ID to attend this course.
