Our Hybrid Carry Permit Renewal Course is specifically designed for experienced Concealed Carry Permit holders in the District of Columbia and Maryland who have a solid foundation in firearm safety and pistol shooting. This comprehensive course combines the flexibility of virtual learning with the essential hands-on experience of live-fire training to meet all renewal requirements.

This comprehensive course combines the flexibility of virtual learning with the essential hands-on experience of live-fire training to meet all renewal requirements.

Students will complete an engaging, instructor-led virtual classroom session covering key legal updates, situational awareness, and responsible carry practices. This is followed by a mandatory live-fire qualification to ensure continued proficiency and safety with your firearm.

PART-I:  Instructor-Led Virtual Classroom (9:00am - 1:00pm)
Objectives:
- Firearm Safety & Storage
- Suicide Awareness
- State Laws on Firearms and Self-Defense
- Duties & Responsibilities of a Permit Holder
- Ethical Use of Deadly Force
- Prohibited Locations

PART II: Live-Fire Training and Qualification (2:00pm - 5:00pm)
Objectives:
- Firearm Safety and Range Orientation
- Demonstrate competency and safety in handling a firearm
- Shooting qualification of twenty-five rounds of ammunition from a maximum distance of fifteen yards, and receiving a qualifying score of at least 70%

Range Location:
NRA Range, Fairfax, VA


Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive: 

1 – District of Columbia Concealed Pistol License Completion Certificate
2 - Maryland MSP 29-14 Certified Qualification Renewal Score Sheet

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • No. of Students:   6 – 18

  • Prerequisite:  Knowledge of firearm safety and pistol marksmanship

  • Class Supplies:  Pen and paper

  • Range Gear:

    • Pistol with at least two magazines

    • Hearing and eye protection

    • Range appropriate clothing

    • Ammunition: 50 rounds FMJ

Range fees are not included in class price.

State application fees are not included in class price. 

You must be 21+ and legally able to possess a firearm with valid government photo ID to attend this course.
